Bharti Airtel Q3 net up over two-fold at Rs 1,436 cr

Mumbai: Telecom major Bharti Airtel’s consolidated net profit in the December quarter rose over two-fold to Rs 1,436 crore from Rs 610.2 crore in the year-ago period.

The consolidated revenue increased 6% to Rs 23,217 crore as against Rs 21,939 in December 2013.

The company incurred a consolidated exception loss of Rs 292 crore during the quarter.

The consolidated India ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) was Rs 202 as compared to Rs 198 in the second quarter.

On Wednesday, the company’s stocks on BSE closed 1% lower at Rs 368 apiece.
