‘Bharti Airtel has not taken any import license since April, 2018’

NEW DELHI: Bharti AirtelNSE 0.30 % has not taken any import license since April 2018, a source said, in response to the government’s move to put the telecom operator under foreign trade blacklist.

“Airtel has not taken any such license since April 2018 as there is no operational requirement. In fact, the company has already applied for the closure of all past licences that were due and is awaiting approval from the authorities,” a source close to Airtel said.
