Bharti Airtel FY4Q net profit Rs 759 crore, ARPU at Rs 145; zero-IUC weighs

New Delhi: New Delhi: Bharti Airtel posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 759 crore in the January-March period – its second successive quarter in the black after six straight losses – backed by a one-time gain, lower costs and continued strong data and voice usage.

Net profit for the quarter however fell from Rs854 crore in the October-December quarter, with average revenue per user (ARPU) dragged by the absence of interconnection usage charges (IUC). The telco had posted a loss of Rs5,237 crore a year back.
