Bharti Airtel deploys additional spectrum in 900MHz band in Himachal Pradesh

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel on Wednesday deployed an additional 9.6MHz of spectrum in the 900MHz spectrum band in Himachal Pradesh to enhance indoor connectivity and boost high-speed data services.

The rationale for deploying spectrum in the 900 band, as per Airtel, is the high propagation property and reach that will facilitate wider network availability and improved data speeds along with better coverage inside homes and buildings in urban and rural areas.

Airtel said the new spectrum deployment will complement the recently deployed 17.4MHz additional spectrum across the state, in 900, 1800, and 2300 bands to strengthen its network.
