Bharat 6G document bats for opening spectrum across bands, encouraging THz research by industry, academia

NEW DELHI: The ‘Bharat 6G’ vision document, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday, has recommended the review of spectrum bands in lower, mid and mmWave bands and to take actions to enable maximisation of the spectrum to achieve socioeconomic benefits.

The document also suggests opening up a few bands to generate demand, for instance, 450-470 MHz, 526-612 MHz, 31-31.3 GHz, etc.
