Better tech tools needed for security, says telecom secy

Lucknow: Stressing on the importance of national security to ensure safety of individuals, secretary, telecom, K Rajaraman on Monday said that key action points should be thoroughly discussed so that telecom and cyber security management can be improved.

Inaugurating a two-day workshop on security issues for senior officers of the department of telecommunications (north and east zones) and central and zonal law enforcement agencies, Rajaraman said it was important to identify areas where improvement is required.

“CMS/IMS and a few other projects such as TAFCOP are crucial to ensure national security and safety of individuals. It is important to bring out key action points so that further improvement can be made in telecom and cyber security management,” he added.
