Bengaluru-based Calligo Tech to receive first silicon with posit computing capability this month

Bengaluru-based semiconductor startup Calligo Tech is expecting its first silicon for general-purpose computing with alternative number system Posit this month, a senior company executive told ET.

Posit is a system, when used in silicon, claims to deliver better performance and accuracy for high-performance applications – specifically those that involve significant mathematical computations.

Some of the first customers of the company to receive this silicon-based accelerator card will be research institutes in India, Singapore, and other countries.
