Belgium’s Citymesh picks Nokia 5G drone solution for deployment in emergency zones

NEW DELHI: Nokia’s 5G drone-in-a-box (DiaB) solution has been selected by Belgian telecom operator Citymesh for deployment in emergency zones across the country.

As part of this, Nokia will deployment 70 DiaB units to Citymesh. “This is enough to blanket Belgium with a 5G automated drone grid that informs and speeds resource mobilization in emergency events,” the Finnish telecom gear maker said.

Branded SENSE by Citymesh, 70 drones have been deployed in 35 emergency zones across the country and will gather information in the critical 15-minute period immediately following a call, as per Nokia.
