BARC to review its decision on not publishing viewership data
Mumbai: Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India has decided to review its decision of not publishing television viewership data during the transition to the new tariff regime after the sector regulator pulled it up.
“Trai has advised us that we should also consider resuming the display of data of top channels and programmes on our website. We are taking a considered view on that post consultation with our stakeholders,” a BARC spokesperson said on Tuesday in response to a directive from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai).
