Asus ZenBook Flip 14 UM462D review: Solid performance and build quality

Laptop brands usually tinker with the design or add new features to differentiate themselves in a crowded computer market. Few attempt to change the processor and go beyond Intel. Taiwanese tech giant Asus has, however, bucked the trend and added AMD’s Ryzen processor to its new ZenBook Flip 14 UM462D.

While the starting model, priced at Rs 64,999, runs on Ryzen 5 processor, there is also a premium Ryzen 7 variant.

The Flip 14 is powered by a Ryzen-5 3500U processor that comes with Radeon Vega 8 integrated graphics processing unit (GPU). The processor is based on AMD’s Zen Core architecture and can attain maximum clock speed of 3.7 GHz with turbo boost.
