Asus Zenbook 14 OLED sets new benchmarks for ultrabooks

Asus knows not just how to make laptops but also ways to market them, making commitments that matters to users, something that’s seen in plenty on the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED, which is different from the Space Edition. It’s one of those devices that you fall in love with immediately because there are so many things that are customer-focused.

One of the first in India to board the Intel 12th generation ship, you are promised a smooth journey for a long time, bringing the best out of Windows. There are three aspects that impressed me. First, display. Besides being thin and light, all the magic lies in the 14-inch OLED display. It’s that and some more — there is 90Hz refresh rate, which is usually amiss on laptops while you enjoy 2.8K resolution, compare that with the usual 1080p fare. The output is sharp, bright, contrast-y and, very importantly, accurate. Of course, you are guaranteed deep blacks. What I was more interested in was Photoshop, which worked flawlessly no matter the number of layers I threw at it. It has 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage and 133 per cent sRGB coverage, in other words, a good deal of colour accuracy.
