As pandemic fuels demand in certain sectors, degrees in fintech and e-commerce up for approval at SPPU council meet

Even as the pandemic has fueled activity in certain sectors such as digital payments, fintech, e-commerce, digital marketing and more, colleges and institutions are now aiming to offer courses to students which make them ready for jobs in these sectors.

As the Management Council of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) meets on June 26 to discuss various proposals, ranging from starting new courses to shutting down non-performing ones, as well as financial and staff issues, both university departments as well as affiliated colleges have introduced proposals for starting new graduate and MBA programmes in these ‘in-demand’ sectors.
