Apple’s next generation M-series chip will reportedly launch next year

The Apple M1 chip made a serious impact on the PC processor market with its solid performance and power efficiency. And while the other chip makers are still trying to catch up and get over it, Apple reportedly has the successor ready which is likely to be called the M2 chip, according to a report by Phonearena.

The Apple M1 chip was built using TSMC’s 5nm process node. However, as per the report, the alleged M2 chip is expected to be produced using TSMC’s 4nm processor note.

The 4nm process node means the upcoming processor will be even more power efficient and powerful compared to its predecessor. The Apple M2 chip is also expected to make its debut with Apple MacBook Air next year according to a report by TF International’s reliable analyst Ming-Ching Kuo.
