Apple’s new patent application explains the Optic ID in Vision Pro in details

Biometric security has become a common thing in modern smartphones. To keep the sensitive data secure, OEMs implement things like Face unlock, fingerprint, etc. Apple, recently announced its Optic ID for Vision Pro that will identify the user and unlock the device automatically.

Patently Apple has reported that the European Patent Office has shared some new patent applications filed by Apple that talks about Optic ID and its implementations. Optic ID from Apple is basically based on the eye tracking technology that has been part of several devices for a while now. However, Apple’s Optic ID goes above and beyond just tracking the eye movement that keeps track of the position where a user is looking.
