Apple to fix its keyboard ‘issues’ in 2019 MacBook models

iPhone-maker Apple will use a new keyboard mechanism for its upcoming MacBook Pro lineup, according to a report by 9to5Mac. The report that cites Apple tipster and former KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo says that the alleged 16-inch MacBook Pro will come equipped with the keyboard that makes use of a scissor mechanism instead of a butterfly mechanism. Previously, he said that this will be incorporated in the 2020 MacBook Pro, however, his new note suggests that the 16-inch MacBook Pro which is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2019 will use the scissor mechanism.
“We have revised our prediction that the keyboard of the 16-inch MacBook Pro that will launch in 4Q19 will feature the scissor mechanism instead of the butterfly mechanism. The refresh versions of other MacBook models in 2020 will change to adopt the scissor mechanism keyboard, too.”
