Apple sets another ‘record’ in India
If recent numbers are an indicator then Apple’s MacBook laptops have never had this good — both in India as well as all over the world. According to a latest report by IDC, Apple has been selling more MacBooks in India than ever before. As per latest numbers revealed in IDC’s research report, Apple MacBook shipments grew 19.4% YoY as it ended its biggest quarter of shipments in the country. This comes hot on heels after Apple set its best ever September quarter record in the country.
It’s not just in India but Apple’s MacBook seem to be on a roll across the world. A report by Strategy Analytics suggests that Apple has “outperformed” the market average. Globally, notebook shipments increased by 34% whereas Apple saw its shipments grow by 39%. The report by Strategy Analytics reveals that Apple sold about 6 million MacBooks in the September quarter. Last year, in the same quarter Apple had shipped close to 4.3 million MacBooks.
