Apple says some threat notifications about ‘state-sponsored attack’ may be false alarms

NEW DELHI: Apple Tuesday said it does not attribute the threat notifications it sent to several iPhone users in India, including some opposition leaders, to any specific state-sponsored attacker.
In a statement, the Cupertino-based tech company noted that state-sponsored attackers are “very well-funded and sophisticated, and their attacks evolve over time”.
