The Apple Pencil Pro isn’t a replacement for the second-generation Apple Pencil. Rather, it’s a slightly more powerful version with a few extra bells and whistles. Broadly, it has four features that set it apart from the Apple Pencil 2. Of these, Find My support is probably the most sought-after, letting you track it from your iPhone or iPad through the Find My app. It’s a feature you’d expect to be normal, but it’s taken a while.

The new pro Apple Pencil also has a haptic engine built inside it giving you subtle feedback when you interact with it, for instance when you double tap on it to switch between tools.
