Apple on snoopgate: Some iPhone hacking alerts may be ‘false’ alarms
Amid the ongoing ‘snoopgate’ controversy, Apple issued a statement saying that some threat alerts may be false alarms.
In its clarification regarding the charges alleged by the Opposition leaders, Apple said that it does not attribute the threat notifications to any specific state-sponsored attacker.
The clarification also said, “State-sponsored attackers are very well-funded and sophisticated, and their attacks evolve over time. Detecting such attacks relies on threat intelligence signals that are often imperfect and incomplete.
