Apple iPhone 12 launch may not happen in September like always: Report
Apple is known to launch the latest iPhone in the month of September every year but this time there may be a delay, as per a report by Bloomberg. Apple’s major hardware supplier Broadcom shared that he is expecting a delay from the standard launch timelines. Broadcom supplies communication chipset for iPhones and CEO Hock Tan was quoted in the report talking about a “major product cycle delay” at a “large North American mobile phone” customer.
In fact, Broadcom CEO is even expecting the company’s revenue to be lower in Q3 due to this delay. Usually, there is an increase in the Q3 revenues of Broadcom which is linked to the launch of new iPhones in the month of September.
“This year, we do not expect to see this uptick in revenue until our fourth fiscal quarter. So accordingly, we expect, our wireless revenue in Q3 will be down sequentially,” Tan said in the report by Bloomberg.
