Apple fans, you may get two ‘cheap’ iPhones in 2020
NEW DELHI: Apple has been rumoured to be working on the successor of the iPhone SE since a while now and is expected to launch it in March 2020. If you have been eagerly waiting to see what Apple has in store for its budget iPhone of 2020, you may get more than one choice.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, Digitimes has suggested that Apple may launch two models of the rumoured iPhone SE 2 — which last month was suggested will be launched as iPhone 9 — in 2020 by supply-chain sources that reveal that Apple has asked for two different LCD screens. If Apple does adopt the iPhone 9 moniker for the budget iPhone, it is possible that what is being suggested here is the possibility of an iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus. Back in 2017 when Apple launched the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, it launched the 10th anniversary special edition, iPhone X, and hence giving iPhone 9 a complete miss. It is possible that the alleged iPhone 9 duo may be on the lines of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in terms of size and design.
Even though renowned tipster and Apple analyst tipster Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that Apple is going to launch 5 new iPhones in 2020, this Digitimes report claims that the Cupertino-based tech giant will launch six iPhones by the end of 2020.
