Apple could make these chassis design changes with the future iPads

Apple could incorporate a titanium alloy in the chassis of the future iPads instead of the aluminium-based metal, a new report by DigiTimes has claimed. The report is actually about the upcoming iPad which could come with a physical vapour deposition (PVD) application to improve the scratch resistance of the tablet but it also speculates about the Titanium-based chassis being used for the iPads in the future. Because of the high costs involved, Apple may take its own time to introduce the material into the iPads, maybe skip a generation or two even.

Earlier, a similar report had claimed that the iPhone 14 could be made of Titanium only, eschewing the aluminium and stainless steel case design.
