Android users, WhatsApp’s forwarding feature is set to change on your phones

Instant messaging app WhatsApp has started rolling out its recently spotted feature that tells users how many times a message is being forwarded.
The feature was spotted in the beta version of Android app version 2.19.87 and is soon expected to roll out to the non-beta users as well. As of now, WhatsApp has only rolled out the ‘Forwarding Info’ feature that shows the how many times a message has been forwarded. This users can check by selecting the message and tapping on the three-dot icon on the right and selecting ‘Info’. Readers must note that this information will be available only for sent messages because the user can navigate into Message Info only for messages he/she sent. Due to this, if you want to see how many times a message has been forwarded, you will have to forward the same and go back to Message Info.
