Amazon Web Services opens new India data centre

Amazon Web Services (AWS) on Wednesday announced the expansion of services to include a third Availability Zone in the AWS Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region to support the rapid growth of the customer base in India.

The new Availability Zone will ensure increased capacity for AWS as well as significantly reduce the risk of a single disaster event impacting availability.

India is one of the fastest growing cloud computing markets in the world. According to Gartner, just the public cloud market is expected to touch $2.5 billion in 2019 from $1.9 billion last year.
