Amazon shuts down in-house brands to cut costs
Over the past few years, e-commerce giant Amazon created several private-label brands across a variety of categories. While these labels have over the years helped the company boost revenue, it has also attracted regulators across the world. According to a report by Wall Street Journal, Amazon is shutting down some of these in-house brands that the company offers to avoid antitrust scrutiny as well as cut costs.
Amazon in-house brands getting the axe
Amazon’s private brands include both those with Amazon branding as well as those without it. Those without Amazon branding are: Solimo, Wag, and Mama Bear.
