Amazon outpaces Flipkart in Q2 smartphone share; overall share to reach 45%: Report

NEW DELHI: Online retail channels is likely capture a45% share in the overall smartphone market in 2020, up from a 43% share in Q2 2020 in the overall smartphone market in India.

The growth will be driven by a shift in consumer behavior, who are now preferring contact-less shopping experience and practicing social distancing, Counterpoint Research said.

The quarter also saw Amazon reaching its highest ever share of 47% among online channels, compared to Flipkart’s 42%.
