Almost half of mobile towers in South Delhi ‘illegal’
NEW DELHI:Almost half of the mobile towers functioning in south Delhi areas are operating without permission from the civic body, reveals the data collected by South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
The executive wing of SDMC has finished the identification and mapping process for the mobile towers and the final data was presented before the standing committee on Monday by its four deputy commissioners. The central zone leads in terms of discrepancies with almost 72% of the towers here operating without civic permission. The committee has ordered that show-cause notices be issued against the violators.
