AliExpress to TikTok to PUBG Mobile: Check out full list of Chinese apps banned in India so far
The Ministry of Information and Technology has banned 43 more Chinese apps in the country, and the most prominent name in the list is AliExpress. The ban comes under Section 69A of the Information Technology (IT) Act. Earlier we had seen apps like TikTok, Bigo Live, CamScanner, and PUBG Mobile being banned in India under the same act. In June, the government had banned 59 apps, citing threat to ‘sovereignty and integrity of India’. Then in September, the government banned 118 China-based apps, and the most prominent name in the list at that time was PUBG Mobile.
Since the ban, apps like PUBG Mobile, TikTok, etc are no longer working in India and not available on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
