Alibaba Cloud says to invest $200 bn to expand cloud infrastructure

NEW DELHI: Alibaba Cloud, the data intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, said it will invest approximately RMB200 Billion (approx US $28 billion) in the coming three years on its cloud infrastructure, focusing on technologies including operating system, servers, chips and network.
Alibaba said it aims to build next-gen data centers to offer enhanced cloud services to its clients globally to help businesses speed up their digital transformation after the Covid-19 or coronavirus pandemic.
