Alanda Media management takes full control of ABCPL

Alanda Media & Entertainment, which had acquired 90.54 per cent stake in Associated Broadcasting Pvt Limited (ABCPL), which operates the TV9 Group of channels, has formally taken over full management control.

Following a shareholders’ meet, it sacked V Ravi Prakash, promoter-CEO and Whole-time Director; KVN Murthy, Wholetime Director and CFO of ABPCL; and appointed Mahendra Mishra, who takes care of TV9 Karnataka operations, as the Interim CEO and G Singa Rao, former journalist, as COO.

S Sambasiva Rao, Director of Alanda Media, addressing a press conference , said: “We (Alanda) are committed to upholding the core values of delivering unbiased and high quality journalism to millions of audiences who have supported TV9 during its 15-year journey.”
