Airtel’s VoWiFi service crosses 1 million user mark

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel’s newly-launched voice over WiFi network service–Airtel WiFi Calling has crossed one million users since its roll out, the telco said on Friday.

“The telco has accelerated the roll-out across the country following the positive customer feedback it received,” the telecom company said.

Airtel’s VoWifi service is now available to Airtel mobile customers across India, it added.

Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio has also followed Airtel’s footsteps as it officially announced its WiFi calling service for Jio customers on a pan India basis on January 8 this year.
