Airtel’s download speeds fastest, Jio records highest 4G availability: Report

New Delhi: Bharti AirtelNSE -0.08 % offers the best video experience among mobile operators, exhibiting fastest download speeds of 9.6 megabits per second across all telecom circles, while rival Reliance Jio has the highest 4G availability covering 97.8% of the country, a new report has said.

Airtel’s download speed of 9.6 Mbps was more than a megabit faster than its closest rivals Vodafone and Idea, Opensignal said in its latest mobile network experience report. Vodafone’s speed was 7.9 Mbps, Idea 7.6 Mbps, Reliance Jio 6.7 Mbps and BSNL 3.1Mbps.

Although Vodafone India and Idea Cellular have merged to become Vodafone IdeaNSE 0.82 %, they still operate the two brands separately.
