Airtel’s download speeds fastest, Jio records highest 4G availability: OpenSignal

NEW DELHI: Sunil Mittal-driven Bharti Airtel has exhibited fastest download speeds of 8.7 Mbps and best video experience across all telecom circles in India, while Reliance Jio has grown its 4G availability to 97.5%, up from 96.7% previously, according to OpenSignal’s latest mobile network experience report.

Airtel widened the gap on its rivals by increasing its winning score by more than a megabit in the last six months which is over 2.3 Mbps faster than its closest rival Jio. Vodafone, Idea, Reliance Jio and BSNL recorded overall download speeds of 5.9 Mbps, 5.4 Mbps, 6.3 Mbps and 2.9 Mbps respectively.
