Airtel VoWiFi service goes live in 5 states after Delhi NCR

NEW DELHI: After rolling out its voice over WiFi service in Delhi-NCR earlier this month, Bharti Airtel Monday expanded the service to Mumbai, Kolkata, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

‘Airtel Wi-Fi Calling’ allows Airtel customers using WiFi calling capable handsets to make calls using a WiFi network without costing any extra data cost.

The innovative service uses WiFi networks to create a dedicated channel for voice calls and allows customers to make telco grade calls to any network.
