Airtel & Vodafone-Idea turn gatekeepers to keep out low-revenue subs

Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are turning gatekeepers to keep out low-revenue subscribers after they witnessed some growth in the average revenue per user (ARPU) through their illegal minimum monthly recharge plans. Despite several complaints to Trai by consumer groups, the two telecom operators are continuing with their illegal anti-consumer practices of imposing minimum monthly spending rule on their subscribers.
