Airtel, Vodafone Idea take potshots at Reliance Jio on free calls issue

NEW DELHI: Airtel, Vodafone Idea have taken potshots at Reliance Jio’s latest move to charge its users 6 paise a minute for outgoing calls to other telecom operators’ networks. The telcos with their social media campaigns are assuring their users of continuity of their free unlimited calls.

Airtel on Twitter has come up with the #AbTohSahiChuno campaign as part of which it wrote, “For some unlimited calls means something else. For us, unlimited calls have truly meant unlimited calls. Switch to Airtel now.”

Not only the telco is assuring its users of free unlimited calls, but is also calling people to pick the ‘right’ telecom operator.

Similarly, Vodafone and Idea in their respective tweets have taken a dig at Jio. Idea on Twitter wrote “Free calls on unlimited recharges. We truly mean it.”
