Airtel, Vodafone Idea shares open higher ahead of SC hearing on AGR

Mumbai: Shares of Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea opened 0.8% and over 3% higher respectively Thursday, ahead of Supreme Court’s hearing on the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) crisis.

In early trade on the BSE Thursday, Bharti Airtel’s stocks were trading at 0.3% higher at Rs 568.85, while those of Vodafone Idea were up 0.1% at Rs 10.83 apiece.

The matters before the court include the government’s application that companies be allowed to spread the payment of their AGR-based licence fee and spectrum usage charge dues over a period of up to 20 years.
