Airtel to see 13% CAGR revenue growth by FY22; industry data traffic up 20-25% during lockdown: Report

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel is likely to see a 13% CAGR growth in revenue and 26% CAGR growth in EBITDA by FY22 led by tariff hikes and 4G upgrades, CLSA said in a note.

CLSA said that Airtel’s mobile traffic has surged for its 283m subscribers, although with the majority of 4G subscribers on plans offering 1-3GB data daily and unlimited calling, there will be limited upside from subs plan upgrades.

Data traffic has surged amid the Covid-19-led lockdown, but India’s home broadband subscribers are a mere 19 million.
