Airtel says continued network deployment amid second wave of COVID-19

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel which reported its financial results for the fourth quarter on Monday said it is ensuring network deployment during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic to deliver uninterrupted services and end-user experience to customers.

“Our network teams continue to ensure urgent response for service restoration were impacted even during the lockdown, while simultaneously improving the overall network experience of customers through digital tools and analytics,” the Sunil Mittal-led telco said in a statement.

Airtel added it ensured that all its Network and Engineering Operating centres, as well as data centres, could be operated with minimum workforce onsite, while the rest were enabled virtually.
