Airtel picks up 10% stake in tech startup Waybeo to scale cloud offerings

NEW DELHI: Telecom operator Bharti Airtel on Wednesday said that it picked up 10% stake in tech startup Waybeo under the Startup Accelerator Program to scale up its cloud offerings.

The Trivandrum-based startup is focused on deep AI analytics for cloud telephony and it is the fifth startup to join Airtel’s startup accelerator program.

“Under the Airtel Startup Accelerator Program, Waybeo’s solutions will get larger distribution reach while giving Airtel access to Waybeo’s proven as well as emerging technologies,” said Airtel in an official statement.
