Airtel Payments Bank customer can now make 24×7 NEFT transactions

Airtel on Thursday said that its Payments Bank customers can now use the National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) facility at any time of the day, under the new guidelines released by the Reserve Bank of India.

The facility will be available to users on a 24×7 basis even on holidays, the company said.

The customers can transfer funds via NEFT using the banking section of the Airtel Thanks app or bank website. They need to select the ‘Transfer Money’ option followed by ‘transfer to Bank’ which will allow them to register a new beneficiary. Once the beneficiary registration process is completed, the customer can easily transfer the money, the telco further added.

“We welcome the RBI mandate as it will allow our customers to easily transfer the money to any bank account at any time using NEFT mode,” said Ganesh Ananthanarayanan, chief operating officer, Airtel Payments Bank.
