Airtel Kenya extends 4G contract with Ericsson

NEW DELHI: Telco Airtel Kenya on Wednesday extended its partnership with Swedish telecoms gear maker Ericsson to enable 4G connectivity in Kenya.

Under the partnership, Ericsson will deploy its Radio Access Network and packet core products for 4G to enhance voice and data quality for Airtel subscribers.

As part of this project, Ericsson will deploy its Kathrein Mobile Communication Antenna portfolio while the Ericsson Network Manager, will help Airtel in integrating various network elements into a single platform for better management.
