Airtel is now shutting down its 3G network in Punjab

After Haryana, Airtel is now shutting now its 3G services in Punjab. In a statement, one of the country’s oldest telecom service provider said, “Mobile broadband services in Punjab will now be available to Airtel customers on its high speed 4G network along with HD quality VOLTE calling.”
However, Airtel will continue to provide 2G services in Punjab to serve the connectivity needs of customers on feature phones, the company’s statement further added.
Last week, Airtel announced shutting down its 3G network in Haryana and migrating customers to 4G services.
The closure of 3G network is part of the company’s plan to gradually phase out the third generation services across the country.
