Airtel free Wi-Fi calling now across India. Check if your phone has the facility
NEW DELHI : Just weeks after launching free Wi-Fi calling service in major cities for its customers, telecom major Bharti Airtel announced on Friday that ‘Airtel Wi-Fi Calling’ is now live all across India. The announcement comes just two days after its rival Reliance Jio announced its free voice and video calls over any Wi-Fi networks, anywhere in India.
Also, the service can now be accessed by Airtel mobile customers over any home or public Wi-Fi network, making their indoor service experience truly seamless.
There is no extra charge for making calls via this service and customers can get started on Airtel Wi-Fi calling on their smartphone without the need for any additional calling app or SIM. All you need is to activate the service is to have a smartphone that compatible with the service and an active Airtel 4G SIM with a tariff plan.
