Airtel: ‘Disappointed’ at SC order on AGR, will weaken sectoral viability

New Delhi: Bharti Airtel said it was ‘disappointed’ by the Supreme Court verdict which ruled in favour of the government on the AGR (adjusted gross revenue) issue, which will ‘further weaken the viability of the sector as a whole.’

The No 2 carrier by subscribers urged the government to review the impact of the judgement and provide relief to the sector which was reeling under increasing financial stress.
