Airtel commits to big cut in emissions by 2030-31

Bharti Airtel NSE 1.70 % said it has committed to reducing 50.2% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its operations by 2030-31. India’s second-largest telecom operator has joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)’s ‘Business Ambition for 1.5°C’ campaign and has adopted targets to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and emissions from its network operations, according to a statement on Monday.
