Airtel betting big on cable operator partnership model to expand home broadband in smaller towns

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel said that it is doubling down on its partnership with local cable operators to expand its home broadband services to tap the opportunity in smaller towns across India.

“We also believe that there is a massive opportunity in smaller towns across India on the home broadband market. We are now live in 14 such cities through this partnership model,” Airtel Chief executive officer Gopal Vittal said during Q1FY21 earnings call.
