Airtel and Meta partner to extend subsea cable system to India: Here’s what this means for users

As India prepares to roll out the 5G network to a broader audience, it is important to ensure foundational connectivity infrastructure, such as subsea cable systems, to serve the rising demand for high-speed data. Airtel has partnered with Meta and STC to extend 2Africa Pearls, the world’s largest subsea cable system, to India. The two companies are planning to extend the cable to Airtel’s landing station located in Mumbai.
