AI on iPhone: Apple renews talks with OpenAI for bringing these breakthrough features to iOS 18

News comes that Apple Inc. is in discussions with OpenAI about using the startup’s technology to power some new features coming to the iPhone. Reportedly, the new features are supposed to come later this year.

The two companies are expected to have started discussing what could be the possible agreement and how the OpenAI features will be used in Apple’s iOS 18, the next iPhone operating system.

OpenAI to raise $15 million

Two unnamed investors contributed about $15 million in new cash on or around April 19, as per insights from a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Reports suggest that a paperwork was submitted on April 2. The paperwork is expected to have mentioned Ian Hathaway, the OpenAI Startup Fund’s manager and sole partner.
