AGR, spectrum moratorium may provide medium-term liquidity buffer to telcos: Ind-Ra

NEW DELHI: The four years moratorium/deferment for both the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) and spectrum liabilities may provide a medium-term liquidity buffer to telecom operators, while not impacting the actual liabilities to be paid, said India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) in a note.

“Ind-Ra believes the reforms related to the four years of moratorium/deferment for both the AGR dues and spectrum liabilities (other than the ones auctioned in 2021) are likely to provide a medium-term liquidity buffer to telcos, while not impacting the actual liability to be paid by them,” it said.
